How text-message consent works

Travel Double text reminders are optional. A person must choose them, enter their own number, agree to the disclosed terms, and verify the number before any reminder can be sent.

Text messaging stays off unless the user completes every required step.

Step 1 of 3

The user chooses text messages

In-app notifications are selected by default. “Text + in-app notifications” and “Not now” are separate choices, so text messaging is never preselected.

SMS is optional.
The app remains usable without SMS.
The user can choose “Not now” without losing in-app features.

Step 2 of 3

The user reviews the disclosure and actively agrees

The phone-number field, SMS disclosure, Privacy Policy, Terms and Conditions, and agreement control appear together. Continue remains disabled until the user enters a number and turns on the agreement control.

STOP cancels and HELP provides assistance.
Consent is not a condition of purchase.

Step 3 of 3

The user verifies the number

Travel Double does not activate text reminders from the consent switch alone. The user must also enter the verification code sent to the provided number.

The example number is a synthetic 555 test number.
“Skip texts for now” remains available before enrollment is completed.
After enrollment, the user can reply STOP at any time.

Disclosure shown before consent

The app presents this language before the agreement control:

“By choosing Text + in-app notifications and verifying your phone number, you agree to receive recurring transactional SMS reminders from Travel Double, provided by Divergent Logic LLC. Message frequency varies based on your selected reminders and trip activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase.”
